Robert Engvall is a professor of Justice Studies, having joined the department in 1999. He is the author of several books and articles including his most recent work published in 2018 by Rowman & Littlefield, entitled “Inside the Faculty Union: Labor Relations in the University Setting.” His other books include “Young Athletes, Couch Potatoes, and Helicopter Parents” written with his colleague, Jess Skolnikoff, also published by Rowman & Littlefield Press. He has also written “Corporatization of Higher Education” and “Academic Identity” with Hampton Press. He has published other books and numerous chapters and articles on a variety of higher education topics ranging from unionism in the academy to marginalization issues on a variety of fronts.

Professor Engvall is an active member of numerous professional organizations and is a frequent presenter at academic conferences.
